Now Birds

The series of small paintings on paper titled Now Birds each show mirror images of birds’ heads or identical heads facing each other.  The series addresses staying in the present moment, which happens to the viewer when looking at the compositions of past and present forming new shapes such as hearts….or focusing on the tiny negative space between two a bird facing itself.  The series started in 2011 and I’m still making new ones each year.
